As we welcome in another working
year, I would like to take
this opportunity to thank all of you that have supported IntelliTrac
and streetdirectory.com.au during 2009.
During 2009 IntelliTrac focused on
understanding our customer
requirements and dedicated further resource into research and
development in preparation for
2010.
Microsoft recently coined the
phrase "Synovate", meaning Synergy and Innovation. At
IntelliTrac we have embraced the term Synovate to Synergize with
our customers to innovate and bring outstanding new products to
our customers.
2010 will see the introduction of
new features in both software and hardware offerings including:-

New Mapping Technologies with
higher zoom levels.

Further advancements in Fleet
Management Reporting-customised to industry groups.

Further advancements in Alert and
Exception Generation.
-
Proactive Device Health Check
Management whereby software detects device irregularities
and automatically fixes them over the air.

Mobile Phone Tracking for
Blackberry, Nokia, I-phone and Windows Mobile PDA devices.
-
Mobile Workforce Solutions for the
Service, Transport and Maintenance Recording Industries.
-
Enhanced Mobile Data Solutions,
utilising the new IT-200 range of products as Mobile Broadband
Gateways.
2010 will also see improvements in
our customer service levels, with newly introduced online forms

In our recent newsletters, we
introduced the IntelliTrac Web Login. Using Internet Explorer or
preferably Mozilla Firefox, IntelliTrac users can now log in
over the internet on any computer anywhere in the world to track
their vehicles. There is no longer a need to run our Virtual Map
Client Server Software which must be installed on each
individual customer PC.
We also discussed Fleet Management Report Generation and
Geofence Generation.
Are you
generating reports or simply looking at dots on a map?
IntelliTrac offers a suite of reports designed to allow you to
manage your fleet and determine the performance of your mobile
workforce.
Combine the reporting feature with
the Geofence Feature and suddenly you are able to produce fleet
utilisation reports and client service level reports.
For example:-
What percentage
of time are your vehicles idle at your office?
How many times
did you visit a customer last month?
What is our
average loading time at distribution centes?
Last but not least, we discussed value added services you are
able to offer your customers, by allowing them to log into the
IntelliTrac System to view your vehicles.
Each User Log in may be given special privileges as to which
vehicles they can view and the type of reports or journey
replay's they are able to access.

A new set of Tick Boxes
allow you to change the look of your home page.
For example:- "Show Position Grid" may be disabled effectively increasing the Map
Display size allowing you to better display IntelliTrac on a 50"
Plasma screen in your office. |

How Can I Use Alerts? |
| |
Alerts were traditionally used to
monitor security events such as SOS and Alarm Triggers.
Today Alerts are being used by many IntelliTrac customers in the
transport industry and service based industries.
For example:- By setting up
geofences(see previous newsletter), you are able to trigger alerts when vehicles enter or
leave those geofences. Transport companies are using alerts
to advise fleet operators if trucks are running on time through
certain towns along their journey. Alerts are available as
pop-up windows and now emails.
Reporting is available based on
alerts. For example:- Generate a report for every time your
vehicle arrived late for a customer appointment.
Presently alerts are defined
using the IntelliTrac Corporate Software Version.
Alerts may be defined based
on:-
- GPS Condition:- Such as
Ignition On, Ignition Off, SOS, Speeding, Excessive Idle, Door
Open, Temperature Hire...and more.
- Day Of Week. Inside the
schedule or outside the schedule.
- Time of Day:-Inside the
schedule or outside the schedule.
- Geofenced Area:- Such as
Inside Geofence, Outside Geofence, Entering Geofence, Exiting
Geofence, Outside All Geofences
- Selected Vehicle/s
- Email Selected Person/s

What Are The New Reports
All About ? |
| |
The Polling Report (Exception
Report) allows you to select vehicles and determine which
tracking devices are not working correctly.
For example:-
-
A vehicle may have had the "Stop
Tracking" command issued unwearyingly, hence the report would
show "No Positions".
-
Another vehicle may have a blown
ignition fuse, hence the report would show "No Engine On".
The Polling Report (Normal
Report) allows you to select vehicles to determine which ones
are sending too many positions or have too many engine
on/off or Connections to the network.
For Example:-
- A Vehicle may have had the
tracking set to 5 seconds by mistake, thus costing you
additional monthly fees.
- A vehicle may have a faulty
ignition switch causing multiple ignition on/offs being
generated and inaccurate reporting.
- A vehicle may have a faulty
Antenna, showing too many connect disconnects to the network.
Use the Polling report daily to
determine the health of your fleet. Don't wait until you need to
generate a fleet activity report to find out something has gone
astray. |

IT-TT is a high performance GPS
Trailer Tracking and GPS Container Tracking device capable of operating
for 3 months on a
single charge whilst sending positions up to 3 times each day.

IT-Temp-Sense interfaces to X8 and
IT200 series products to provide temperature monitoring
between -50 and +50 degrees celcius. Temperature is sent
with each position and recorded in the vehicle detailled
reports. Especially suited to refrigerated transport where
temperatures are critical. Alerts may be set up to generate
emails and pop ups whenever temperatures fall outside pre
defined operating limits. |
IT-USFFM1 provides an efficient
method of measuring fluid flow without any interference to
existing piping. Utilising ultrasonic technology, sensors
are simply strapped onto existing tubes. Ultrasonic waves
monitor and calculate fluid flow.
Especially suited for water
tankers and flush trucks, the IT-USFFM1 combined with the
IT200 series products allow you to monitor how much water
was used, where and when. |
