Transport Certification Australia has registered IntelliTrac as a service provider for the Road Infrastructure Management (RIM) application, so operators can enrol vehicles in RIM through the telematics they already run with IntelliTrac.

Transport Certification Australia (TCA) has registered IntelliTrac as a service provider for the Road Infrastructure Management (RIM) application, part of Australia's National Telematics Framework.

The registration means transport operators can now enrol vehicles in RIM through the telematics they already run with IntelliTrac — without adding another device or another vendor.

What RIM registration means for operators

RIM provides a low-cost way to collect road-use data from enrolled vehicles, including location, time and vehicle identity. That data is aggregated and de-identified before it is shared with road managers through the Telematics Analytics Platform, helping the agencies that build and maintain Australia's roads plan and prioritise with better information.

The registration adds to IntelliTrac's Australian compliance tools, which cover Chain of Responsibility checks, fatigue and work-diary history, and FBT and Fuel Tax Credit reporting. IntelliTrac has designed and built its own telematics hardware, software and mapping in Australia since 1987.
