IntelliTrac at AfMA 2026: the new platform, unveiled

At AfMA 2026, IntelliTrac unveiled its new platform and AI, launched the EP26 Easy and EP26 Elite GPS trackers, and brought Starlink Direct-to-Cell to fleet tracking.

IntelliTrac was proud to be the Breakfast Gold Sponsor of AfMA's 2026 Australasian Fleet Leadership and Education Summit — the Australasian Fleet Management Association's flagship gathering of the fleet, transport, procurement, finance, operations and sustainability leaders who run Australia's largest government and enterprise fleets.

This year's theme was "Powered by Connection," and it is one we believe in. Connect telematics, maintenance, pool-car booking, compliance and costs in one vehicle history instead of spreading fleet work across six systems and a stack of spreadsheets.

So over breakfast, we shared that idea with the room — then we showed it. We used the Summit to introduce the new IntelliTrac platform, and to give attendees a first look at IntelliTrac AI: the assistant that answers questions on your own fleet data, predicts maintenance and utilisation trends, and helps you build the dashboards, reports and automations to act on them. We also unveiled the hardware and connectivity behind it: a new generation of tracking devices, and Starlink Direct-to-Cell coverage that follows vehicles past the edge of the mobile network.

New tracking hardware: the EP26 Easy and EP26 Elite

A connected fleet starts with the device on the vehicle, so we launched the EP26 range — the successor to our EP23 trackers, and the units that feed the platform its live, first-party data.

• EP26 Easy is our plug-and-play OBD tracker. It fits into a vehicle's OBD port in under a minute — no installer, no downtime — and moves between vehicles just as fast. It's built for light commercial fleets, pool cars and short-term hire, where you want a vehicle reporting the day it arrives.
• EP26 Elite is our advanced, hard-wired tracking device, for the vehicles and assets that need more — extra inputs, driver identification, and the durability for heavy commercial, mining and remote work.

Whichever you fit, both run on the same IntelliTrac platform, so the data joins the same vehicle history as maintenance, bookings, compliance and cost.

Starlink Direct-to-Cell: tracking past the mobile network

A tracker is only as useful as its coverage, and Australian fleets work where the mobile network stops — remote highways, mine sites, farms and the long hauls in between. That's where vehicles have always dropped off the map.

So we've built Starlink Direct-to-Cell into IntelliTrac tracking. When a vehicle moves beyond cellular range, it stays connected over Starlink's satellite network and keeps reporting its position, turning the old blind spots into part of the same live picture. IntelliTrac is the first to bring Starlink Direct-to-Cell to fleet tracking, so you can track vehicles and assets across the country — not only where there's a tower.
