When something stops a sweep, drivers log it with one button in the cab, so nobody keeps handwritten notes.

Exact times when a street is questioned
Sweeper drivers cover long distances every day with their eyes on the road. Before IntelliTrac, noting an issue meant writing it down, and a complaint about a missed street was hard to answer.
Now every sweep has a GPS location and time behind it, and the history stays on hand.
"If someone says, 'You didn't clean our street today,' they can go and say, 'Yes, they did. They were there at 8:45 in the morning.' So it made it a lot easier."

As Paul puts it, "once you've got the information, it's there forever."
One button instead of a notepad
A parked car, a pothole or a blocked access point can stop a sweeper finishing a street. Drivers choose the reason from a short list in the cab, and IntelliTrac logs it with the sweeper's location and time. The office can then explain a missed section to the council without chasing the driver.

What's next: potholes detected automatically
IntelliTrac's RoadScan AI camera scans the road surface as a vehicle drives and detects potholes automatically, so the driver doesn't need to press a button at all. Dean and Paul agreed to look at it for KS's next upgrade.
