Swipe-to-start workflow

Only authorised operators can restart the machine.

The workflow is deliberately simple for operators and powerful for owners: when ignition is switched off, the machine is automatically immobilised shortly after. To start it again, the operator must present an authorised RFID card or keyring.

01

Ignition is switched off

The Elite EP23 monitors the machine state and prepares the restart protection workflow.

02

Machine is immobilised

Shortly after shutdown, the machine is automatically immobilised to stop casual or unauthorised starts.

03

Operator swipes RFID

The operator presents their authorised RFID card or keyring before the machine can be started.

04

Start is recorded

Owners gain a clearer record of who used the machine, when it moved and how many engine hours were consumed.

Protection and proof

Turn high-value machinery into controlled, monitored assets.

Use IntelliTrac to protect excavators, loaders, sweepers, trailers, generators and other high-value equipment that is exposed to after-hours movement, unauthorised use or poor utilisation visibility.

Driver RFID and swipe-to-start

Link machine starts to authorised cards or keyrings and reduce unauthorised operator access.

Automatic immobilisation

After ignition is switched off, the machine is automatically immobilised shortly after shutdown.

Day-time geofence alerts

Set site, depot, yard and job-area alerts that highlight movement outside expected boundaries or time windows.

Unauthorised float alerts

Receive alerts when equipment is moved or floated when it should remain on site or in the depot.

Engine hours monitoring

Track machine utilisation, service intervals and actual working hours rather than relying on manual notes.

Optional fuel theft monitoring

Add fuel monitoring where theft, shrinkage or abnormal consumption needs to be investigated.

Built for battery isolators

Extended backup battery protection for up to 30 days.

Plant and equipment is often parked with battery isolators switched off. The Elite EP23 extended backup battery option can continue protecting equipment for up to 30 days, helping owners keep visibility when the machine is not connected to its main battery.

FAQ

Common questions about plant and equipment GPS security.

Answers for owners protecting machines, attachments and high-value equipment.

Which device supports the plant and equipment solution?

The plant and equipment campaign is centred on the Elite EP23 with Driver RFID and swipe-to-start technology.

How does RFID swipe-to-start work?

After ignition is switched off, the machine is automatically immobilised. To start it again, the operator must swipe an authorised RFID card or keyring.

Can IntelliTrac alert us if machinery moves at the wrong time?

Yes. Day-time geofence alerts and unauthorised float alerts can help owners identify movement, relocation or transport activity that needs attention.

Can we monitor engine hours?

Yes. Engine-hour visibility can support utilisation reporting, servicing decisions and a better understanding of how machines are being used.

What happens when battery isolators are used?

An extended backup battery option can help protect plant and equipment for up to 30 days when battery isolators are used, depending on configuration and conditions.
