A harsh-braking alert could mean a near miss, a sudden obstacle or a manoeuvre that needs coaching. Review the footage and vehicle details before deciding on the response.

Road safety also depends on the surface ahead. With RoadScan AI equipment, vehicle-mounted cameras detect likely road defects and capture images and locations for your road team to review.

See the defect and where it was found

Review potholes and other detected road damage with the captured image, location and severity. Give councils and road-maintenance teams the detail to assess what needs attention first.

Keep footage for the incident or claim

Attach the clip to an incident and place it on hold so it is kept beyond normal retention. Authorised staff can export evidence with a reason and face blurring, while the original remains unchanged.

The safety queue brings driving events, vehicle details and camera evidence together. Review the circumstances, add a note and decide whether to dismiss the event or follow up with driver coaching. Supported detections depend on the camera and tracking equipment fitted.

Yes. Review the retained clip and open the journey replay to follow the vehicle’s movements. If you need more footage, request a time range and the camera channels you want. Retrieval depends on the recording still being available on the camera.

The request remains visible while the camera is offline. It can upload when it reconnects, provided the recording has not been overwritten. The request status shows when footage is ready or unavailable.

Attach footage to the incident and place it on hold to protect it beyond its normal retention period. The clip keeps its capture details and activity history. Exporting footage and managing holds require the relevant permissions.

Set separate permissions for road and cabin evidence, live viewing, exports and holds. Recording and audio policies are configured for the camera. Live sessions have time and data limits and do not automatically create a saved recording.

RoadScan AI uses vehicle-mounted equipment to detect likely road defects and capture images and locations. The road team reviews the findings and severity before prioritising inspections or repairs. It is a separate road-inspection capability, not a feature of every safety camera.

Ask IntelliTrac AI to prepare a footage request around an event or attach a clip to an incident. Review the proposed action before approval. The action uses the same access permissions and footage register as a manual request.

Configure an automation around a camera detection to request footage, wait for it to arrive and notify the reviewer. Give failed or unavailable requests their own follow-up. The automation respects the camera functions and access rules configured for your fleet.

Report on camera health, footage requests, retained clips, incident holds and live-view usage. Use the reporting tools to find recording problems, requests needing attention and clips approaching expiry.

Choose the views and supported functions for each vehicle. A road and cabin camera may suit one fleet; larger vehicles can need rear and side views through a supported multi-channel recorder. RoadScan AI needs its own road-inspection setup.
