Fuel Tax Credits, with the evidence to back every claim.

Fuel Tax Credits

Prepare Fuel Tax Creditdata with lessmanual chasing.

Fuel Tax Credit work depends on knowing where vehicles and equipment operated, which activity needs review, and whether the data is complete enough for your finance team and adviser.

Separate activity

Use trip, location and site context to help review eligible and non-eligible vehicle activity.

Capture equipment use

Use configured inputs for PTO, auxiliary equipment and running hours where the vehicle setup supports it.

Review exceptions

Find missing, unusual or disputed activity before it slows down the review period.

Money on the table

The ATO wants to know where every litre went. The IntelliTrac platform keeps the vehicle, route and usage data that supports the claim, without the spreadsheet marathon.

Claim Review

Connect journeys,site activity andreview packs.

Built for Australian Fuel Tax Credit work, the workflow gives finance and fleet teams the vehicle activity behind every claim. It does not replace your tax adviser, but it ends the spreadsheet rebuild.

Review eligible and non-eligible activity with location context.
Trips, geofences, idle time and utilisation in one review pack.

Location history and geofenced sites help teams see where vehicles worked and which activity may need separate treatment before a claim is prepared.

  • Review on-road, off-road and site-based activity
  • Use journey history, idle time and utilisation reports
  • Flag trips that need finance or operational review

Add PTO and auxiliary activity where the vehicle can report it.
Configured inputs can support stronger operating context.

For vehicles and equipment with the right hardware setup, PTO and auxiliary inputs can help show when fuel-consuming equipment was running.

  • Support PTO and auxiliary input capture
  • Review running-hour data where available
  • Keep hardware fit and reporting setup tied to the fleet mix

Schedule review packs and deal with exceptions early.
Regular review beats end-of-period spreadsheet cleanup.

Scheduled reporting gives finance and fleet teams a repeatable way to review the period, check gaps and add notes to items that need attention.

  • Create scheduled FTC review packs
  • Review missing, unusual or disputed activity
  • Keep notes and exports ready for adviser or business review

Fuel Tax Creditquestions

What qualifies, what evidence the ATO expects and how tracking helps.

Fuel Tax Credits let registered businesses claim back some of the fuel excise paid on fuel used in heavy vehicles over 4.5 tonnes travelling on public roads (at a partial rate), in vehicles and machinery operating off public roads, and in auxiliary or power take-off equipment. The ATO sets rates per litre by fuel type and activity, and updates them periodically.

Claims need evidence showing how much fuel was used, the activity it was used for, and the vehicle or equipment involved—including the split between on-road and off-road use, which is taxed differently. Accurate activity and location data are central to a defensible claim.

IntelliTrac captures on-road and off-road travel using geofenced site boundaries, auxiliary and PTO equipment activity, and odometer data. This supports the apportionment the ATO expects and gives auditors the source data behind the claim.

Review Data

Keep the FTC storyspecific andreviewable.

The useful details are the ones that explain activity clearly and point reviewers to the right supporting product or workflow.

Eligible activity review

Use route, site and activity context to help review which vehicle use needs attention.

PTO and auxiliary inputs

Capture equipment use where suitable hardware and installation allow it.

Journey and idle reports

Review movement, idle time and utilisation without rebuilding the period by hand.

Scheduled review packs

Prepare repeatable reports for monthly, quarterly or other business review periods.

Exception handling

Mark missing, unusual or disputed activity for review before the pack is used.

EP23 Elite

Use installed telematics where advanced vehicle inputs and reporting are needed.

Edge ES810

Use hard-wired tracking for vehicles, plant and equipment that need reliable installed hardware.

EP23 Easy

Use plug-in tracking where a simpler light-vehicle rollout is the right fit.
