Road Infrastructure Management (RIM)

Road Infrastructure Management is a TCA application that collects telematics data from heavy vehicles so road managers can understand how their networks are used, typically as a condition of access schemes.

RIM is the lightest of the national telematics applications: it informs road planning and access decisions rather than enforcing conditions. Operators enrol through a TCA-registered provider.

IntelliTrac is a TCA-registered provider for Road Infrastructure Management (registered December 2025), so fleets that need RIM as an access condition can meet it on IntelliTrac hardware and software.
