Telematics Monitoring Application (TMA)

The Telematics Monitoring Application is a TCA-administered scheme that uses approved telematics to monitor heavy vehicle activity for regulatory purposes, with lighter requirements than the Intelligent Access Program.

TMA sits between voluntary telematics and the full Intelligent Access Program. It is used for schemes where road managers need assurance about where and how vehicles operate, such as certain mass or access concessions, without IAP's full certification burden.

Like the other national applications it runs on the National Telematics Framework operated by TCA.
